Winter sunset
As the light of the day fades, on dry cloud less days i often look at the horizon to see the orange tinge of the setting sun.
I remember, as a child finishing our Sunday afternoon walk on the Nervi promenade near my hometown in Genoa, and seeing the sun “fallling”in the sea. The memory is always linked to my Grandmother Nuccia (whose birthday would have been today), who often walked with us, eating a cone of whipped chantilly ice cream with cocoa or cinnamon on top(normal ice cream were not sold in winter)…
Subconsciously this winter of lockdown, when I cannot go back to my hometown, I started to reproduce the orange sunset in my glazes/ Starting from this watercolour painting, I evolved into the finished new range of bowls and mugs, now for sale on my Etsy shop
